Union workers at Powell’s Books are organizing a shop-in today “to show Powell's that our brothers and sisters across the country are there for us and invested keeping good union jobs going,” says ILWU Local 5, which represents workers at Portland, OR-based Powell's, “the best independent unionized bookstore on the planet.” The workers are preparing for contract negotiations this summer.
