(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

"If it was Hearst it was the San Francisco Examiner," writes sharp-eyed reader Jack Howard of AFSCME, catching an error in our 2/22 labor history item in which we said "William Randolph Hearst's San Francisco Chronicle began publishing articles on the menace of Japanese laborers, leading to a resolution of the Calif. Legislature that action be taken against their immigration (2/23/1904)"  We apologize for the error.
