JUFJ's "Thinking Jewishly": Green & Just Giving

Just in time for the gift-giving season, Jews United for Justice offers the Green and Just Celebrations Guide, a little booklet with a big mission: to work for the day when every dollar that socially conscious families in our area spend on celebrations will be spent in a way that reflects their values of honoring workers, conserving resources, and kindness to animals. Each section of the booklet offers specific suggestions for how families can make purchasing choices for their celebrations in ways that are mindful of workers’ rights and environmental impact. The booklet is illustrated throughout with the real-life stories of more than forty DC-area families who made creative green and just choices for their own celebrations.
