Demo Targets Bush Board

Thursday, November 8, 2007

In the wake of the recent deluge of anti-worker decisions, the Bush-dominated National Labor Relations Board will be the target of a major rally on Thursday, November 15. The Bush Board recently released over 60 decisions, “the vast majority of which are virulently anti-worker and anti-union,” says Fred Azcarate of the Voice at Work Campaign. “In its last act before several members' terms expire, the Bush Board has attempted to strike a deathblow to already weakened worker protections and has made a preemptive strike on the Employee Free Choice Act.” The November 15 rally will expose these attacks on workers' rights and call for a close-down of the Bush Board “until we can get an NLRB that respects workers' rights and will uphold the spirit of the law.”
