(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)In addition to a professional phonebank GOTV campaign today and tomorrowto get union members that did not take advantage of "Early Voting" out to vote on Election Day,Tuesday, June 24th "we will ask union members to contact the campaign of their choice to volunteer," says Metro Council Political Coordinator Rick Powell. "We will supply the name and contact phone number of the candidate’s contact person." There are seven targeted campaigns; Larry Greenhill in P.G., Legislative District 25; Jimmy Tarlau in P.G., Legislative District 47A; Edith Patterson in Charles County, Legislative District 28; Marice Morales in Montgomery, Legislative District 19; Natali Fani-Gonzalez in Montgomery, Legislative District 18. Duchy Trachtenberg in Montgomery County Council District 1, and Ryan Spiegel in Montgomery County Council District 3. "In addition, we are asking for Election Day coverage for Veronica Turner, running for the Senate in District 26."
