Iron 5 Apprentices Sweep Competition; Martin Wins Another Term

apprentices took the top places at the Mid-Atlantic States Apprenticeship
Competition in Richmond, VA last weekend. Andrew Hernandez took first place,
Eli Ward was second and in third place was Jean Luc Leclerc. Hernandez
moves on to compete at the National Apprenticeship Competition in Toronto,
Canada this September, along with last year's Mid Atlantic States Apprentice
Competition Winner Ryan Eshelman. “Congratulations to all the
competitors!” said Iron 5 Business Manager Kendall Martin, who won another
3-year term on Thursday, along with John Rayner (President), Aaron Bast (Vice
President) and Mark Coles (Recording Secretary). Complete election results are
posted on Local 5’s Facebook page. The local also held its annual Dad’s Day
Poker Run over the weekend to raise money for diabetes research. See Kendall
