Fletcher Launches Weekly Worker Show on WPFW

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Bill Fletcher has started a new show on WPFW that airs Fridays at 9a. “The show is called "ARISE!" and it is a one-hour show focusing on workers, unions and the struggle for justice,” Fletcher tells Union City. Recent guests have included Bhairavi Desai, the Executive Director of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance and actor Danny Glover, who discussed some of the labor work that he has been engaged in supporting. Fletcher is the author of "'They're Bankrupting us' And Twenty other myths about unions" and co-author of "Solidarity Divided:  The Crisis in Organized Labor and A New Path Toward Social Justice."
