CSA News You Can Use: Help Distribute Free Books

Volunteers are needed this Saturday at the AFL-CIO -- click here to sign up -- to help distribute 40,000 free books to teachers, school staff, parents and kids.  The Books on Wheels provides needy kids with free books and is sponsored by AFT, First Book and the Phi Beta Phi Foundation. “This program has been successful in cities across the country and now is coming to DC,” says AFT’s Tom Moran. Volunteers can sign up for 2-hour shifts; prep work and set-up from 6a through 2p, distribution from 2-5p. Be sure to wear your union colors.
