DC LaborFest "Save the Date" Cards Available

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The first annual DC LaborFest kicks off May 1 and “Save the Date” cards are now available for distribution to local members. The month-long labor cultural, film and arts festival includes the 14^th annual DC Labor FilmFest, an art exhibition on organizer/painter Ralph Fassanella at the Smithsonian’s American Art Museum, two labor-themed plays, local organizer/singer Joe Uehlein's birthday tribute to Pete Seeger, the AFL-CIO Book Club and more, including a May Day wreath-laying in honor of legendary labor organizer  Mary Harris “Mother” Jones’ 184th birthday.
