The Laborers posted this photo on Facebook last week of the demolition of the 16th street church of Third Church of Christ, Scientist. The concrete building’s lower walls are six feet thick and the upper walls are three feet thick.
Answer to Friday’s Labor Photo quiz: AFSCME 2910 president Saul Schniderman is at far left, while AFSCME Council 26 Executive Director Carl Goldman is second from right. Between them is Sandy Eisen, currently an NTEU member and on the far right is singer and poet David Sawyer, currently of Baltimore. The group was "Folkworks" and Goldman says “We were performing at a rally for the striking Washington Post Pressmen.”
