Labor Endorsement Update: AFGE District 14 Endorses Gray for DC Mayor

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The 14th District of the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO, has announced its endorsement of D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray. “The mayor’s stance on making all D.C. employees essential during the federal government shutdown and paying back D.C. employees from the 2011 four day furlough, are just two of the reasons why AFGE District 14 backs the Mayor,” said District 14 National Vice President Eric Bunn, Sr. District 14 also endorsed D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson, Ward 1 Councilman Jim Graham, Ward 5 Councilman Kenyon McDuffie, and candidate Darrel Thompson for Ward 6 Councilman.
