(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

After a marathon session Monday interviewing all seven candidates running for DC Mayor, the Metropolitan Washington Council decided to postpone endorsements until next month.  “We thank all the affiliates for attending Monday’s intensive eight-hour long session to ask probing questions and hear from the candidates” said Metro Council President Jos Williams.  “We expect to announce the date and time to finalize our endorsement process soon.” Candidate questionnaire responses have been posted on the Council’s COPE page for review. Candidates running for DC City Council will be interviewed in mid-February and the Metro Council endorsement process for Mayor and City Council races is expected to be completed February 27.
