Guild Win Major Gains in Contract with Bloomberg-BNA

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)After 17 hours of continuous bargaining that ended in the wee hours of a Friday morning, the Guild unit at Bloomberg-BNA has achieved major gains in a new contract (Guild Rallies for Contract at Bloomberg-BNA UC 2/7/2013). The contract, overwhelmingly approved by Guild members, is a three-year agreement running through February 29, 2016. Highlights of the contract gains include across-the-board pay raises to the corporation’s 700 Guild-covered workers, as well as increased matching on members’ 401(k) plans and a five percent bonus next December.
