calendar with some big labor events coming to the DC metro area. Here are a few
highlights; check the DC labor calendar
for a full list of events.
Labor
Research and Action Network Conference (6/11-12)
Registration is
now open for the LRAN conference, held at Georgetown University, dedicated to
“create[ing] a space for the generation and exchange of fresh ideas and
thinking among labor leaders, activists, scholars, and students.”

JwJ “I’ll Be There” Awards (6/21)
DC Jobs with Justice will
honor Reverend Raymond Bell, Carrie Biggs-Adams (CWA), the Kalmanovitz
Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor at Georgetown University, and Occupy
DC this year, celebrating their continued dedication to local labor causes.

The Labor Heritage
Foundation’s Great Labor Arts Exchange -- a celebration of the use of all
forms of art to support the labor movement -- will bring four days of workshops,
trainings, performances, and actions to the DC metro area; registration is open
now.
