Labor Photo: Teamster Solidarity from Ohio to DC

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)On strike since February 14, Teamsters Local 507 traveled from Cleveland, Ohio to DC to protest in front of Red Cross Headquarters on 17th Street yesterday. With signs reading “Red Cross: Tainted with Greed,” protesters were welcomed to DC by local leaders from DC Jobs with Justice, USWA, UAW, UFCW, and Teamsters including Tommy Ratliff, president of Teamsters Local 639 and member of the Metro Washington Council Executive Board. “They think you’re just going to pick up and go home” said Ratliff to the crowd. “But we’re Teamsters!
