Grants to Support Women in Labor Movement(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Funding is available for organizations, programs and projects committed to “helping women organize into unions.” The Berger-Marks Foundation continues to offer its grant for “organizations that promote workers' rights & have an impact on social justice;” the application deadline is March 15. Last year the foundation awarded a total of $122,193 to the 15 recipients of this grant. They are also offering funding to “union programs, projects & organizing campaigns that will benefit, promote and develop women — particularly younger women — in the labor movement,” with applications accepted throughout the year.
